During the second spring of the pandemic, writer and naturalist Susan Cerulean came upon a weathered wooden desk on a remote north Florida beach. She understood the desk to be a portal, an urgent call to write from the consciousness of a wild, undeveloped island on behalf of the Earth.

If This Were a Map chronicles one woman’s journey into indigenous mind, guided by dreams, synchronicities, and instructions from the land, the ancestors and the wild birds.
